Blog Update Sunday September 25th

The last two weeks have been really busy with work, family and life in general. I did get some stitching done as well. I volunteer in the Creative Arts Department at our Fort Bend County Fair and it started on Sept 24 and will go until Oct. 2. We had check in and judging Wed and Thursday before the fair opened. Here are my pictures. I won 7 blue ribbons and 5 red ribbons(cross stitch, holiday, arts and crafts and antique, a good year for me. I entered my Mother's Bible which was given to her by my Father for her birthday in 1944. She passed away in 2005 at the age of 87.

Blog updated with finish and framed finish

I stitched a lot on Jo Little Women Series by Brookes Books this past week, so my niece could get it framed while her Michaels 70% coupon was still good. She just picked up Meg and what a pretty frame she chose. The framer at Michaels was so thrilled to be able to frame this series.

Next to stitch is "Beth"
I did get stitched a little progress on other WIPs this past week.
“It is Snow Cold” Ornament -#8  2012 Ornament Series-Littlehouse Needleworks

Snowman and Friends Christmas Stocking – Gold Collection Kit
   October  Weather Poems-Sue Cook-Britian’s #1 Crossstitch Magazine-2000 issues
I also finished stitching a kitchen towel for my friends Church fall bazaar.
The design is a Thanksgiving design from Blueladie Designs.
I also took part in an unfinished ornament exchange in the Friendly Stitchers Group. We stitched something and sent it to a partner with the finishing fabric. This is how I finished the one (Friendship Quilt) I received from Mary and the one I stitched(a fall theme) and sent to her.

That's it for this week.
Have a great week.

I volunteer in the Creative Arts Department at our Fort Bend County Fair Sept 25-Oct 3 as well as enter some of my cross stitch and handmade cards. We had our annual get together coffee and these are the pictures that were in our local paper.

I entered my Cardinal picture in the Texas State Fair, but didn't place, at least I tried.
My grandson, Christopher turned 22 on Sept 3 and we had a family dinner. Of course I created a special birthday card for him. The verse fits him really well.

Have a wonderful Labor Day and a great week.
